The short version

This site collects almost nothing. If you join the waitlist, we store your email address. Our analytics are cookieless and anonymous. We don't run ads, we don't use tracking cookies, and we never sell your data. That's the whole story — the sections below just spell it out.

Who we are

Clippo (legally Clippopotamus) makes a browser-based video editing and clipping tool. This policy covers this marketing website (clippo.video) and the waitlist. The Clippo app, when it launches, will be governed by its own privacy policy.

What we collect

• Your email address, only if you join the waitlist. We use double opt-in: you'll get a confirmation email, and we only keep your address after you confirm. Waitlist emails are processed by Loops, our email service provider.
• Anonymous usage analytics. We use Plausible, a privacy-first analytics tool that uses no cookies and collects no personal information — we see aggregate page views, not individual visitors.

That's the complete list. No advertising trackers, no social pixels, no fingerprinting, no cookie banner needed — because there are no tracking cookies.

How we use your email

To tell you when Clippo launches and share occasional product updates. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing works immediately. We never sell, rent, or share your email with anyone except the service providers that make the waitlist work (Loops).

Your content

This website doesn't collect recordings, videos, or creative work. When the Clippo app launches, our standing commitment applies: your content is private by default.

Your choices and rights

You can unsubscribe from the waitlist at any time via the link in any email. You can also ask us to show you or delete any data we hold about you (which, for this site, is at most your email address) by writing to privacy@clippopotamus.com. California residents: the rights above cover access and deletion under the CCPA; we do not sell personal information.

Children

This site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Material changes affecting waitlist members will be announced by email.
